Dalton's All Star Tourney

Dalton's team had a big weekend.  We played 5 games and won 3 of them so we took third and are moving on to our next tournament.

Dalton hit a single this at bat.  This was from our first game and we won 31 to 12.  Our team scored 21 runs in the 3rd inning.  Great game.

He hit well against this team as well. We lost to them 13 to 3.

Dalton was pitching this game and there was a delay.  So him and Gage were talking strategy.

So I will keep everyone up to date.  We will see how things go.  We are getting rain right now from hurricane Alex, so it will all depend on how much we get.

The Lake

We got to go to Canyon Lake with the Mingst's. They have a boat and it was so nice and relaxing.

Zane's Forth Meet

Zane had his forth meet this past Monday.  He did a good job.  He swam the back stroke and breast stroke for the first ever.  He was very nervous, and had a little bit of a melt down at home before the meet.

He did great.

The new dive.  He is getting it down so well.  This is the start of his breast stroke.

He did so good for his first time ever swimming this stroke but he got DQ for one of his kicks and not touching the wall with both hands on his finish.  There are a lot of rules with this stroke and you have to do everything just so.  We are proud of him for trying.

Big News!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Zane has qualified for the divisionals!!!!!  Hooooooooooooray Zane!!!!

His meet for this is July 9th.

Zane's Third Meet

So this meet was a home meet at the Schertz pool.  It was Monday, so it worked well for us because there were no conflicts with Dalton's baseball so we all got to be there to see him swim.

He always starts his meet out with the back stroke.

He got 2nd in his heat and we found out last night that he was 5th for all the 9 year old boys.  It was his best all season so we were very proud of him.  We also found out that he got a 6th place for his back stroke on Saturday.

Then comes free style.  So once again he dives in.

This time you can tell he did much better.  It gave him a much better start.

This is his finish.  He has been working hard on going into the wall strong and fast.

Race is done.  He did great and got 3rd in his heat.  Way to go Zane!!! He is getting better with every meet. 

He started private lessons on Tuesday.  They are 3 times a week and it is with his coach.  They are working on his starts and balance.  Zane is very excited about this swim season so we wanted to get him some extra instruction.  If he keeps doing this good he has a shot at making divisionals.  You have to get your time under the cut time to make it.  We are not sure what that time is yet, but we are hoping this will help him make the cut.

Since Dalton's first game was while Zane's swim meet was going on I have no pictures of the first game.  The good news is they won.  So Zane and I got to see them play their second game.
