Pops came to Town

Dalton has been working very hard on his shot gun snap.  He gets down on himself a lot.  So Pops helped him out and tried to give him some confidence.
This is them discussing what needed to happen.

Great snap buddy.

It went right to Pops just like 85 - 90% of them do.  He is just a perfectionist, so that is not good enough for Dalton.

Zane got out his basketball and started to work on his dribbleing.  We just signed him up for basketball and Dalton too.  They do not start practicing until November.

Zane trying to take the ball from Pops.

Now it is Pops turn to play defense.

Well the old man still has good enough skills to keep up with a 9 year old.  Thanks Pops for all of your help.  The boys love having you help them out.

Future Men of the House

Last Monday the kids were out of school, so we had Jon and Malik over to held us decorate for Halloween.  I did not know what I was getting my self into.  They were all 4 very into helping and getting everything all set up.
Jon, Malik and Dalton, putting the bloody hands on the garage.

Dalton working on putting bats in the flower beds.

Then it came time to set up our blow-ups.  I did not know how much help I had.  This is Dalton getting the spider put in position.  They got out all the extension cords got both things all set up.

Then it came time to steak the blow-ups down.  They were all four all about it.  We could only find a couple of steaks, so we had to adjust.  This is Zane and Malik working on one of the steaks.

Dalton trying to figure out the spiral steak.  We did not have much luck with those the ground was to hard.

Jon and Malik trying to dig so that maybe they could get the spiral steak in the ground.

Zane's hammer, you know what ever it takes.

Zane was very proud of himself for getting his steak in the ground.  When we were all done we had to use 2 of Daddy's screw drivers as steaks.  I think all four of the will make a great "Man of the House"

Some More Football

Dalton's team has had some very close games this season.  He has been working very hard at the center position, he has learned the pistol snap and now the shot gun snap.  He takes a lot of pride in his work and we could not be more proud of him.
This is our game against the Oilers we lost 0-6.  It was a heart breaker.

The brothers.  Zane goes to every game and has a pack of friends that he hangs with.  He always wants to know how his bubba did, but does not always want to watch the whole game.

Dalton on kick of return, this game they got to play on the stadium field.

This is Dalton at center and our 2nd string QB, our 1st was in a bicycle wreck a couple of days before this game.

Now Dalton at center with our 3rd string QB, Malik, you can see the difference.  I was worried that he could not see over the line.  They did a great job, since we had to change our QB so many times in one week, however we still lost.

Dalton with our friend Kelli who came to watch the game, thanks for coming Kel.

Well we were still with Malik at QB, we did great and won this game 47-6.

Dalton, Malik and Blake

Dalton and Pops, thanks for coming Pops.

Our Night Out

Brian and I got to a night out at the beginning of the month.  Donna and George invited us to the Eva and Tony Parker Charity Casino Night.  We rushed from a football game of course to make it.

This is the crew that Donna invited to attend.

Brian and I tired but having a great time.

Me and Celi looking good.

Suz and I

Donna and I
Brian got to play poker that night with Eva, we were not allowed to take pictures so of course I have no proof of his brush with fame.  He said she was very nice and down to earth.  We had a great time that night, it was good to get out and have some fun.  Thanks so much to Donna and George.

Proud to be an American!!

My brother Wayne has joined the Army.  I got to go to his Graduation from Basic Training.  It was a great experience.  He did his training at Ft. Sill, in Lawton, OK.  My parents and Wayne's family were all able to attend.  Brian and the boys stayed behind.  I was only there Thursday and Friday.

That is Wayne looking at the camera.  This was our first glimpse of him.  He looked skinny to me.  They did a demonstration for us on Thursday.  It was family day and we got to spend some time with him that day.

This is my cute little nephew Silas.  He was looking for his dad.

Mr. Hollywood!!

This is the name of Wayne's platoon.  They won honor platoon.  That means they were the best platoon for his training class.  He said that there about 200 and some in his training calls and around 30 to 40 in each platoon.

This is from graduation day, on Friday.  They had to sit just like this for most of the ceremony.

Old Glory

They all got up and went across the stage and said the name and rank and where they are from.  I was able to snap this picture of him while he was waiting to go across the stage.

Wayne stating his name.

Michelle, Silas, and Wayne

Proud parents

I was glad I got to go and be a part of this experience.
