STATE CHAMPIONS

I know it has been forever since I posted.  We are all still going strong.  We have been very busy with football and Zaney practicing basketball.  We had some visitors at Thanksgiving and oh did I mention Football.

Dalton's team made it to the State Championship Game. 

We chartered them a bus to take to the game in Austin.

Dalton was one of the captains for the game.  He played at University of Texas Stadium.

We came out on defense first.  We stopped them.

Dalton's 12th Brithday

Dalton had a Birthday Weekend.  It all started Friday night with dinner with the Ambrose's.  He really enjoyed himself.

Then it was time for his birthday and of course some football.

He got a new flat screen TV for his room.

Then Sunday came around and we had some friends to the house.

Dalton had a wonderful weekend and will not soon forget his 12th Birthday.  Thank you to everyone who helped him share it.

First Day of School 2011

We now have a 5th and 6th grader.  They started school on Monday.  Zane of course said it was OK.  Dalton went on and on about everything and he likes school.  I always take pictures for the first and last day of school.  So I am not sure why they were surprised when I wanted to do it again this year.

Zane got a very very very bad sun burn when we were in SPI, on his face.  So on the first day he was looking much better.

Dalton wanted to wear something that looked nicer for the first day.  Well that did not last long every other day so far it has been gym shorts and t-shirt.  Oh well it could be worse.

They are in the same school this year.  I think Zane is glad to have big brother there with him.  Dalton is good with it too for that matter. 

Another year and they are getting so big.  It is hard to believe.

Football has Started

We started practicing at the end of July.  The team traveled to Harlingen last weekend for two scrimmages.  The team did well and I have to brag Dalton played great he had 3 and half tackles.  He is very excited about this season.  He is playing center and on defense he has played some middle line backer and some defensive end.  We will see. Then this past weekend we had two more scrimmages in San Antonio.  The pics are of this weekend.

It was a long day but we are still having fun.  It of course is very hot here still.  Triple digits every day.  Dalton has been a trooper, he never complains and loves going out there to battle.

We were camping while we were at the World Series.  We stayed at a Jellystone and saw Yogi and Bobo.
